Steak with Cumin
What you need
1/2" thick steak
2 tspns cumin seeds
1/2 tspn salt
1/2 tspn cayenne pepper
1 lime
Olive oil
How to do it
Grind cumin seeds finely. Mix with salt and cayenne pepper. Take half of the result and rub it into one side of steak. Squirt juice of 1/2 of the lime over that, and then drizzle a bit of olive oil over that. Flip steak, do the same thing with the rest to the other side. Let this sit for 10 minutes.
After it's sat, heat cast iron skillet on the highest heat until it is smoking hot. Put steak in, make sure entire surface of steak is in contact with skillet. Cook without touching for 2.5 minutes. Flip. Cook for another 2.5 minutes without touching. Remove to plate and tent with aluminum foil for 5 minutes.
